2588112765_3415018c64_mGetting into the water is one of the main causes of swimmers ear, but it’s almost inevitable to come to Sayulita and not enjoying either surfing or swimming, don’t you agree?

A very useful tip we have found to prevent swimmers ear infection is to mix white vinegar and alcohol in equal proportions and flood the ears with this mixture leaving it just for a couple of seconds. The recommendation is to apply it always before and after swimming. View full article »

Scorpions in Sayulita

Scorpions in Sayulita Are there scorpions in Sayulita? Yes. Do they come out just in the summer? No.

Those might be the most common questions we have in our office from visitors to Sayulita upon their arrival. I was stung by a scorpion in December so that mostly explains it all and for sure it’s one of the worst pains I’ve ever experienced. View full article »

Hola!

Please feel welcome to sayulitadoctor.com where you will find interesting articles about common health issues that I’ve seen during my practice here in Sayulita such as: Montezuma’s revenge (traveler’s diarrhea), food poisoning, dengue fever, stingray and jellyfish injuries, scorpion sting, and so on.

You will find what I consider the basics on their understanding and the starting or preventive treatment for them.

At this moment I’m in the process of collecting all the information and starting to write the articles, so visit the site once in a while or subscribe to the blog updates by e-mail or RSS, for receiving them as soon as they get on-line.

If you have any questions or comments feel free to post them directly in each of the articles to bring up some life to the blog or if you prefer you can send them directly to my e-mail.

Sincerely,

Dr. Moy

x-ray One of the most important areas of medicine practice, but one of the less practiced is the PRE-VEN-TION, and getting a full clinical, laboratory and medical images examination is part of it.

According to your age, there are several tests that can be performed in the full physical that can confirm any present issues after the clinical history and find possible pathologies that are present but yet to be known about.

It’s my recommendation that that you schedule once a year a full physical with your doctor and if you are either visiting Sayulita or a permanent resident, just come to the office so we can schedule one.

When was the last time you get a full physical?

Please Take all your precautions ASAP

It’s very important that you read, understand and pass this information to others living and visiting Sayulita and surrounding areas.
