Fortunately for Sayulita’s dogs and cats (and owners), there’s a new Vet in town, working in the SayulitAnimals clinic. We had the chance to see Dr. Marco in action when Leo, a beautiful black Labrador Retriever (just guessing the race), gut stung by a scorpion in the middle of the night.
Dr. Marco acted immediately, checking vitals and starting an IV line and medications. Within 1 hr Leo got a lot better!
Even though I have treated a lot of patients with scorpion stings, this time I must confess I got freaked out, because the approach to an animal is different, but after witnessing the proper care of Dr. Marco I realized that its indeed easy if you know what you are doing.
